Gold does not move on one indicator. A strong XAUUSD decision is built from confluence: independent factors answering different questions and pointing in the same direction.
Multi-timeframe direction comes first. We compare the broader H1 context with the M15 structure and M5 execution window.
Direction and strength are different. Wilder ADX measures whether a move has real persistence, while +DI and −DI show directional pressure. ADX is currently collected as a shadow metric and does not yet block signals.
Momentum asks whether price is accelerating, weakening or exhausted. RSI is treated as confirmation, never as a stand-alone BUY or SELL instruction.
Higher highs, lower lows, support, resistance and the behaviour around key levels describe the chart’s actual market logic.
ATR and market expansion define whether a setup has enough movement and whether Entry, SL and targets are realistic.
Rejections, breakouts, retests and failed moves help distinguish intent from noise near the planned execution zone.
NFP, CPI, FOMC, Fed communication, Treasury yields and USD flows can invalidate otherwise clean technical setups. High-impact risk is a hard safety layer.
Every actionable signal requires Entry, SL, TP1, TP2, risk/reward and position size. A valid idea without controlled risk is not a valid trade plan.
One indicator can be wrong. Several correlated indicators can repeat the same mistake. The goal is not to collect as many indicators as possible, but to combine independent evidence: direction, strength, momentum, structure, volatility, execution behaviour, macro risk and position risk.
Our current ADX test follows this principle. ADX(14), +DI and −DI are recorded on H1, M15 and M5 for every evaluation. Entry-time readings are linked to the eventual paper result. Only after at least 30–50 closed observations will the ADX buckets be compared with the unchanged baseline strategy.
Shadow testing protects the strategy from premature optimisation. Until evidence is sufficient, the 75% entry threshold and existing safety rules remain unchanged.
